Vortex Razor HD LHT 4.5-22×50 FFP Review

The Vortex Razor HD LHT 4.5-22×50 FFP is a premium riflescope built for shooters who want true long-range capability without the bulk of a heavier tactical optic. With a first focal plane XLR-2 MOA reticle, 30mm tube, locking exposed elevation turret, capped windage, push-button illumination, and the RevStop Zero System, it is clearly designed to bridge the gap between hunting and precision shooting.

One of the biggest draws is its size-to-capability ratio. Vortex lists the Razor HD LHT 4.5-22×50 FFP at 21.7 ounces and 13.3 inches long, which helps keep a rifle trim enough for field use while still offering a very capable magnification range for longer shots.

Vortex also markets this optic heavily toward western hunting, and that makes sense. The scope is built to give hunters a lighter package without giving up features that matter when distance increases. The HD optical system, illuminated reticle, and dial-friendly turret setup make it especially appealing for shooters who want a serious mountain or open-country scope.

In short, the Razor HD LHT feels like a true crossover optic: lighter and more hunting-friendly than many full-size long-range scopes, but far more capable than a basic big-game optic. The biggest downside is price, with Vortex listing it at $2,199.99 MSRP, but for the shooter who wants lightweight premium performance, it is easy to see the appeal.
